Which Way Do You Want To Go, Hmmm?

What does this picture make you think of? If we are kindred spirits, then it makes you think of the movie Labyrinth. I love that movie. Other childhood movies of mine are Goonies, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the old one, of course), One Crazy Summer, and I can't really think of any others right now. The t.v. shows I grew up on include Belle & Sebastian and Today's Special.
Darby is into Curious George and Jumanji. She went through an 8 Seconds phase, but I had to squash that as it isn't really a wholesome children's movie. She also likes Hello Kitty, though Darby calls her "Hello Beauty Cat." She has a Hello Beauty Cat bike, and that is where that all started.

What movies/shows did you love as a child?

  1. I don't remember watching daytime television, except for Saturday mornings. I loved the 1/2 hour show that was disney (I think) produced. Real horses that flew, etc. Very entertaining!

  2. Umm...Star Trek (but you already knew that). I went through a Top Gun phase but my mom put that to rest by "losing" the movie. I would probably be a high ranking Top Gun instructor if it weren't for her.

  3. My older sister Sarah was afraid of Labyrinth so watching it always involved subterfuge and my mom walking in right as the orange guys got their heads ripped off and then she'd turn it off.

As for TV, it was all about TGIF! Family Matters, Full House and Perfect Strangers! It made me so happy, now I do the dance of joy!

  4. Okay, this is SO WEIRD that you posted about this. Just the other day I was talking to my sister about how it freaked me out when the hands were touching her and making little faces. Falling into a den of hands?? I'd almost prefer snakes!
Anyway, loved this movie. Especially the big fluffy dog, he was my fav. :)

  5. I love the old Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and the Wizard of OZ. I was a faithful watcher of Gilligans Island and the Adam's family after school!

  6. I of course love all of your faves. Let's not forget the scariest movie ever- Watcher In The Woods. Kacey loves it. My weird, mummy-loving child.
RAD of course. Gettin' ready to break the ice! Feels like time is standin' still!
